The New York Times, a newspaper that regularly solicits and reports on leaks, is now leading a leak investigation into its own employees that union leaders say is targeting people based on their race and ethnicity. Laura Wagner reports: washingtonpost.com/style/media/20…
As a Northwestern Medill alumna, I'm deeply disappointed to see Northwestern block reporters from covering a major news story unfolding on its campus. Democracy depends on a free & unafraid news media -- that can't happen if reporters are forced to report from behind fences.
In collaboration with New York Magazine, Columbia Daily Spectator created the magazine’s new cover package, providing an intimate look at the crisis on the ground at Columbia University that has gripped the nation. Writing and photography was done entirely by our staff. 🔗: nymag.com/intelligencer/…
Just want to note that The TRiiBE submitted for a press credential for NABJ after the Trump news, we still haven’t heard back. we’re a Black owned and led newsroom based in Chicago. no one reached out to us either asking if we needed a credential.
I’m pro-interviewing newsmakers, incl icky ones, but it requires thoughtfulness re: the how and why. I don’t think NABJ lived up to the thoughtfulness standard but Rachel Scott + Kadia Goba delivered in spite of that. Thankful for their work
1/ For the Atlantic's September cover story, I took 3 trips to the Darien Gap to try to understand the forces driving people there: instability, policy failures, and smuggling orgs that are eager to take advantage. lynsey addario captured it all. theatlantic.com/magazine/archi…
