🆕📰New paper led by FriedericiLab's @xuehu04960361 together w/ Helyne Adamson, M. Schwendemann, Tomás Goucha, A. Friederici & Alfred Anwander: "Native language differences in the structural connectome of the human brain" Read here (#openaccess): doi.org/10.1016/j.neur…
Pre-print alert! . We compared the human and chimpanzee brain to unravel how Broca's area evolved from a purely action region, to a bipartite system housing syntax and action. Check it at biorxiv.org/content/10.110… collab Alfred Anwander @CornEichner FriedericiLab @chet_sherwood
So proud to be associated with Julie's marvelous project! It was a miracle to acquire such a rich and interesting dataset with both statistical learning fMRI data and language samples from 5-7 year-olds between 2020 and 2021. And Dr. Julie M. Schneider's team is growing fast!👏👏👏
🆕⏮️🖨️New #preprint: FriedericiLab's Patrick Trettenbrein, Emiliano Zaccarella, & Angela Friederici (MPI für Kognitions- & Neurowissenschaften) review "Functional and Structural Brain Asymmetries in #SignLanguage Processing". 🧏 Read or download the full text of the manuscript here: psyarxiv.com/6mbej

Get to know our new fellow Gesa Hartwigsen who is a professor at UNIVERSITÄT LEIPZIG and researches for example on the plasticity of language networks. She recently published the largest meta analysis on language processing: psycnet.apa.org/fulltext/2024-… #passionforscience 👍🏻✍🏾🧠
A great job by Joëlle Schroën
