The UHSAA Board of Trustees voted in favor of the new transfer student and international student athletic eligibility rules. A vote will now be sent to each member school, and if 2/3 vote in favor it will take effect during the 2024-24 school year.

The UHSAA confirmed today there are 217 HS football players who are subject to the new transfer rules and therefore must sit out first 5 games. No indication if any of those players applied for a waiver and were rejected first. Does that number seem high or low to you?
