‘Bring Back Boris’ means the Conservatives are unleadable - whoever the next PM is, they will not control their party.

Gilt yields shd be positively correlated with # Tory MPs pledging support for Boris Johnson - regardless of whether he stands/wins. More Boris pledges = the more unleadable the party becomes = ⬇️ chance of fiscal sustainability.

The next PM needs a growth plan to restore the public finances, convince the OBR and settle the markets.

That means more immigration, and therefore yet another internal Conservative battle.

In anxious times, we want leaders to tell us things will be OK.

We don’t want to look at our PM and think: “Is she OK?”

Conservatives have lost the country.
To renew, they must
- be honest about the limits to UK sovereignty outside the EU.
- accept that ageing Britain will only need more migrant workers.
- see rising house prices as a problem to solve, not a blessing.
