yesterday, I resigned from my role as EIC of Palette Poetry due to censorship, neutrality, & painful conversations around the occupation of Palestine. I'm sad to leave this way, but I can't work for a company that frames genocide as complicated.

Palestine is everywhere, touching all our lives, from prison to publishing, from podcasting to brutal violence at the RGV border.

This is just one example in an edifice of deathmaking that we must lose our taste for & refuse utterly 🪨

Now is not the time to bite our tongue on Palestine. Now is the time for radical imagination. For collective action. For communities to come together. For sustained solidarity.

We have nothing to be ashamed of. Speak loud and proud and fierce for Palestinian liberation.

We might be witnessing the greatest war crime of our lifetimes and the American government has given it its full support, despite pleas from the UN. This is unconscionable and unforgivable. Holding the children of Gaza in my broken heart.
