Just say ‘I read this book and I disagreed w this premise and here’s why’ but don’t pretend like there’s some massive movement on here by liberals and progressives to protect ‘the left.’ Have you been awake the past few months!?

Will end w some questions: do you think we are meeting this moment? Do the arguments you see made regarding the 1a actually make sense? Do you believe it will protect if/when your dissent gets crushed? And do you actually believe in safetyism or are you just tolerating it?

We also have to affirmatively support counter protests, even if they include bad opinions or hate speech. In fact we should argue against the idea of hate speech, generally, and the idea that words in themselves can be violence.
