Everytime a new VR headset is announced and priced above 500 bucks, I'm left to wonder why fresnel lenses were selected over pancake lenses. The leap in clarity you get with pancake lenses is so dramatic that I really want to hear the reasons behind selecting something else.

Holy crap, I can’t believe I’m saying this but if the optics are in place the HTC VIVE focus vision may well be the next gen VR headset I’ve been looking for, DP cable for PCVR gameplay and eye tracking for DFR AND a moderately acceptable price tag at a whiff under £1k #RIPIndex

I will give Meta points though, the new Spectacles show the flipside of this: if you try to hard to make something that is clearly *not* typical eyewear look casual, it turns out very awkward. So there may be some merit to the sort of 'cyber-minimalist' industrial design of 3/3S.

Another game that I've finished was Matrix Path of Neo, it's not as polished as it could be but it's a fun game, it does impressive stuff that pushes the PS2, such as ragdoll physics, destructible enviroments, lots of particles, dynamic shadows and textures with normal maps.
