I was talking recently with some friends of mine that left Louisiana after college, they said they would have totally stayed if the Ten Commandments had been displayed in classrooms.

Arkansas passed a first-of-its-kind 'Right to Mine' law last year written by crypto lobbyists. Local communities where the Bitcoin mines popped up are...not happy. Energy & water suck + noise pollution. Now some lawmakers are having second thoughts. arktimes.com/arkansas-blog/…

I think what’s actually happening here is that social media and the Internet has made blind hatred of Biden the only socially tolerated position in a lot of youth circles. And then those youths reason backwards to a rationale, often arriving at the worst idea you’ve ever heard

Perhaps a mystery will now be solved:
Did O.J. Simpson have C.T.E.?
His enormous head (he wore a custom 8 1/4 helmet, bigger than any standard NFL size) was violently & consistently hit for a decade.
Other NFL players w/ giant heads likely had C.T.E.

I have been loving my subscription to Flaming Hydra, a collective of writers publishing quirky, smart, moving, provocative writing every day.

This essay is a great example of one of my favorite genres and so hard to pull off. Pop philosophy.

Back in the day when print mattered, The Washington Post ran a rare 'EXTRA' edition when OJ was acquitted. No one knew at the time, but it would be the Post's last-ever extra edition.

My only comment is: Johnnie Cochran had a long career that included repping the Black Panthers, getting Abner Louima his measure of justice from the NYPD and helping get Geronimo Pratt out of prison, and should not *just* live on in public discourse as 'OJ's lawyer'

In one of the proudest moments of my career, I returned home to write about Mary Allen College, the first college for black women in Texas. Please read and if you can, donate to its restoration efforts.

Just once I want to read a story about a pro-nonsense judge who loves nothing more than a big ol' helping of drama
