In Uvalde again this morning for Commisioners court Notably absent, county commissioner Mariano Pargas — the acting UPD chief on May 24th, 2022 Pargas’ actions, or lack thereof, where scrutinized heavily in the DOJ report — especially his lack of training and leadership

First Uvalde County Commissioners court meeting since a scathing DOJ report about the law enforcement response to the Robb Elementary shooting. Former acting Uvalde police chief Mariano Pargas was named in the report several times. Pargas is also a county commissioner here.
