It's a bad look for USATF (and the sport as a whole) when they are hosting the 2026 World U20 champs but won't send a team to the 2021 or 2024 editions.

One of USATF's primary purposes is to send teams to global champs. They're letting down athletes by withdrawing.

2024 World XC was not a good spectator experience. No view of the start/finish. No concessions. No bathrooms.

That can be fixed next time. The bigger issue with World XC it has become 'optional.'
