New paper from our work on alcohol-free and low-alcohol drinks. KEY MESSAGES: These products are consumed increasingly widely but usually infrequently. Consumers are more likely to be higher income/SES and have riskier drinking patterns.

I don't necessarily disagree with this, but the pointlessness depends on whether you look from an individual or population perspective. For individuals, the risks may be small. At the population level, a substantial proportion of cancers are due to low alcohol consumption.
