Opinion: It’s almost over for Europe – and only Keir Starmer has failed to notice -The Remainers’ sole surviving argument is that we have to focus on Europe because it is close by. That, of course, is ridiculous. apple.news/A4sE2TuR9Qvmqq…

Miliband is referring to latest auction (AR6) for renewable energy subsidies, known as Contracts for Difference (CfDs), out today. Last year's auction (AR5) produced no bids for new offshore wind capacity because business demanded higher subsidies (ie higher guaranteed prices).

It's clear that the Chancellor failed to declare her donation to the Treasury Permanent Secretary prior to installing a Labour donor in a Senior Civil Service job.

A simple explainer on why your electricity bills are so high. Yesterday Ed Miliband announced 9.6GW of renewables. These projects will generate around 20TWh a year of electricity. The Govs own projections estimate these will cost us £1.5bn a year (index linked) in subsidies

🧵1/ It is not true that the removal of Israel arms licenses was a legal decision. Keir Starmer should not hide behind this fig leaf. It was *very* much a political decision. #PMQs I know this, because as Trade Secretary, responsible for arms licenses, I saw the legal advice.

This is not ‘leading the world’. It’s economic suicide It matters, as you’ll soon be required to have electric heating and an electric car telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/09/0…

Ed Miliband has just agreed to pay 58% more for renewable energy and barefacedly claimed it will lower bills. The Government's green agenda is based on lies upon lies upon lies upon lies, says Ben Pile. dailysceptic.org/2024/09/05/ed-…

I hope this is Reform’s aim bearing in mind that their splitting the vote on the right has effectively enabled Labour to form a far left administration, with total power based n only one third of the vote, taking us back to the 1970’s and worse

Michel Barnier named by Macron as new French PM - BBC News- THAT SHOULD spell the end of the PMs German bromance - from my experience Barnier wants to do down Britain - De Gaulle with bells on bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Food price increases due to Covid were less in Britain than eu . Had the Remainer blob not blocked the removal of tariffs it would have led to even lower prices. Do your research - the U.K. is outperforming eu on growth esp France & Germany. I know this must irk

Michel Barnier new French PM - what it means for UK and why it's a nightmare for Starmer- Europe COULD have been a trading group with separate bi lateral or multi lateral defence and security arrangements. It did not need to have a Parliament &Commission express.co.uk/news/world/194…

Revealed: New Brexit food rules set to be delayed again to avoid higher prices- WHY DON’T HMG cut tariffs for food from around the world & stop protecting eu producers at the expense of U.K. consumers? liveapp.inews.co.uk/2024/09/05/rev…

Mr Miliband has asked National Grid to tell him how the U.K. could get to net zero CO 2 electricity by 2030 and how much that would cost. He should have done that before committing the government to such an expensive and unachievable policy.
