The 2024 Diaspora Summit has wrapped. As Prime Minister, it's important that I continue to build bonds and strengthen ties that can benefit our country economically and ensure our diaspora knows there remains a role for them in Belize. 🇧🇿

An auditorium for our school - La Inmaculada R. C. School. Today we dedicated and broke ground for the auditorium for our school. We thank all our collaborators, including H. E. Jaime Briceño. In a few months the Felicitas Auditorium will be ready for use. #PlanBelize

It's summer time and we still need to get our children positively engaged. Our Orange Walk Central summer camp is underway and I stopped in to get in my day's stretch and physical activity with a new group of friends. Mayor Ladrick Sheppard joined me as well.

Met with the executive of the Belize Chamber of Commerce discussing ✔ Tax Reform ✔ Commission of Inquiry for Sugar ✔ Price Control Regs BCCI commended government's the work in several areas including tax Amnesty for MSMEs and funding supprt from MCC.

Today I welcomed the #JICA team in a courtesy visit as we discussed the work currently underway in Belize and areas to strengthen the relationship between our two nations - Japan and Belize.

In collaboration of the ILO, today we launched our country programme with the goal of ensuring that everyone, regardless of gender, age, or background, can work in conditions of freedom, equity, security, and human dignity.

Today is by-election day. Energy is high as the day embraces new leadership for Toledo East. I invite all residents of Toledo East to come out and cast your vote for Dr. Osmond Martinez.

Our delegation to Guatemala 🇬🇹 discussed security cooperation, our Partial Scope Agreement for trade, interactions along the southern border region for mutual benefit. Pres. Arevalos supported our membership to the Council of Ministers of Finance and observer status to SIECA.

USA 🇺🇸 Ambassador H. E. Michelle W. Kwan and I had a pleasant courtesy visit discussing my recent official trip to Guatemala, reviewing Haiti's situation and our cooperation via the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) grant funding, and other issues of mutual concern.

Along with my Blue Bond Team, I met with local and international representatives of the World Wildlife Fund receiving an update on the proposed PFP to build on existing efforts to finance the conservation of our ocean blue space.
