Come check out my poster on the exploration of #kinematic and #morphological parameters for an optimal #climbing gait using a #bioinspired climbing #robot. @SEBconference #SEB2021 on Wednesday 12:40BST ASEB1.20 Christofer Clemente Hendrik UniSC: University of the Sunshine Coast
A fun short video on the work we (Taylor Dick Bob Cieri) did with the Irwin's filming #komodo dragons at Australia Zoo with Robert Irwin. Anyone at the SEB #SEBconference might recognise the data from Bob Cieri 's talk yesterday. youtube.com/watch?v=aQ9BWS…
Australia is home to a fascinating variety of species. Here are just a few, in honour of #NationalScienceWeek! Our biologically mimicking climbing lizard got a mention in the 'Australian Innovations' article written by the The Sydney Morning Herald JojoSchultz Hendrik Research at USC smh.com.au/technology/aus…
Tomorrow's @ITU_AIForGood #AIforClimateScience session will feature Martin Schultz @MGS_DataScience (Jülich Supercomputing Centre) and Duncan Watson-Parris Duncan Watson-Parris (Oxford) speaking on "How can AI improve weather and climate prediction?" Join us at 17:00 CET, 12 Jan!
Analysing #kinematics and #dynamics of lizard climbing using DeepLabCut 🦄 and my own step detection and kinematic analysis script DOKA (github.com/JojoReikun/Cli…) to automatically define swing and stance and get all variables (e.g. ROM, foot angles, speed…) Christofer Clemente UniSC: University of the Sunshine Coast
Super engaging and exciting keynote talk by Christofer Clemente on evolutionary robotics! Hat-tips to the students who did (almost) all the work JojoSchultz Hendrik. Paper here: tinyurl.com/Climbrobot. PC: Evolutionary Biomechanics Laboratory
Successful and fun poster presentation at the #SEB2022 in the #OpenBiomech session. Had some great discussions about dynamics of #geckos #climbing #vertically. Christofer Clemente Evolutionary Biomechanics Laboratory
Christofer Clemente (Christofer Clemente) showed us how climbing robots can help us understand the evolution of climbing performance in lizards.
Really cool study by Taylor Dick with predictive simulations of locomotion in "humans" from 100 g to 2000 kg. Speed and endurance matched with general expectations based on body size #NACOB2022 #biomechanics
What limits turning ability with size? We put 20 dogs through their paces, showing medium sized dogs were the best at turning. Long forelimbs and short hindlimbs help too. Thanks to #ADCQ Tina Haagensen JojoSchultz Joshua Gaschk Journal of Experimental Biology doi.org/10.1242/jeb.24…
So excited to have our turning dogs image selected for the cover of the latest issue from the Journal of Experimental Biologists. SEB . Credit to JojoSchultz for the photos. Tina Haagensen Joshua Gaschk journals.biologists.com/jeb
Celebrating the fifth generation of climbing robots in the #biomechanics and #biorobtics lab at UniSC: University of the Sunshine Coast. Experiments soon to follow! Thanks to our collarbration with @HSBremen JojoSchultz Robin Maag Hendrik
