There is no other NHS staff group a party manifesto would proudly pledge it was slashing aside from managers. Yet, as James Ball says, all benchmarking shows NHS is already undermanaged & previous attempts to cut managers like 2012 Act resulted in a less not more productive NHS

Key message for incoming health ministers: Don't talk yourselves - an easy thing to do - into another round of structural redisorganisation; it will gum up the machine you want smashing away on your health priorities; instead, focus on stability & accountability for managers.
