The antisemitic gaslight, in three steps:

'It’s not happening. You're paranoid.'

'It's fringe, stop pretending it's significant.'

'Well, what did you expect? I may not like it but it's understandable.'

“Calls for violence and physical intimidation targeting Jewish students and the Jewish community are blatantly antisemitic, unconscionable, and dangerous –they have absolutely no place on any college campus, or anywhere in the US”

On the broader point of the situation at Columbia. It's important to know who's doing what. Students vs hangers-on, activists from off campus etc. But let's not kid ourselves. Think abt this situation from the perspective of a minority group you actually care about.

The contrast between the bravery of Iranians showing solidarity with Jews at immense personal risk (to the point of getting arrested), and the moral cowardice of Westerners who can’t speak up about antisemitism for fear of a few nasty comments online, is stark.

I hope this is the beginning of the end for this evil regime occupying Iran, and I hope my Israeli friends and colleagues stay safe and know that many Iranians love you very much.

Unpopular opinion but Joe Biden is literally everything Americans say they want in a president: highly empathetic, skilled at getting shit done, seeks bipartisanship where possible, stays out of headlines, not corrupt, willing to change his mind on issues with the electorate

When I was 11, I hopped on a train to London, ending at the Guildhall School of Music.

For a working class kid like me, it was transformational.

Every child should have access to the subjects they love.

Great to set out our plan to make that happen, back at Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

I'm not a young guy. That's no secret. But, here's the deal: I understand how to get things done for the American people.

Here’s the first ad of our spring media campaign.

This is quite a video. Every so often you just need to zoom out and reflect on how insane everything has become.

It's a cliche but for a reason: Antisemitism starts with Jews but never ends with them. Before you know it, the bigots are out there justifying the murder of random non-Jews because of their tortured tangential connection to a random American Jew and something something Israel.

George Galloway’s election is bad for politics, Parliament and social cohesion

His politics of division, fear and hate have no place in society

He can’t be allowed to divide our communities. We will campaign at the General Election to make sure Rochdale has the MP it deserves

you could argue mozart spoke more truth to more power than most canon composers and so i’m confused when i see how much negativity he gets from the classical twitterverse

I’ve gotten at least five or six private messages a day from American Jewish people for months, almost always fellow progressives, who feel betrayed by the way their own side has targeted them.

They don’t understand why no one will read anything but the most one-sided history.
