From this useful insight on liveability in Cork city you can see why
- people struggle to move back into cities/towns
- public consultations seem a tick box exercise
- plans not actions seem to be the norm

Thanks for the greatšŸ§µ conn donovan šŸ‘

This one at the junction of Crosslanes and the North Road doesnā€™t qualify as part of according to the ā¦Louth County Councilā© register. They even had the audacity to tell ā¦Fergus O'Dowdā© that they didnā€™t consider it derelict. This is simply not good enough.

That evictions are still a regular occurrence in Ireland after all we have been through shows that the colonised became the colonisers

The councils/LAs across Ireland have over 3,500 empty homes
Clearly many like this one in Drogheda are longterm abandoned
What housing emergency you might ask
Surely this is a series dereliction of duty by Louth County Council

Just double checked the ā¦Louth County Councilā© Derelict Sites Register and this one on Mayoralty St doesnā€™t appear, despite the fact it hasnā€™t had a roof for years.

Unfortunately Donaghyā€™s Mill isnā€™t worthy of addition to the ā¦Louth County Councilā© Derelict Sites Register.

Maybe it just isnā€™t derelict enough.

Rotting for decades ā¦An Taisceā© rates it as one of the most at risk buildings in the country.

Just checked and double checked the ā¦Louth County Councilā© Derelict Sites Register. This one in Fair St obviously isnā€™t derelict enough. No prizes for guessing who owns it. Itā€™s hard to CPO your own property.

If you happen to be unlucky enough to spend much longer than is acceptable on approach to Drogheda via Mell, the chances are this site caught your eye. Itā€™s time it caught ā¦Louth County Councilā©ā€™s eye as it doesnā€™t appear on their Derelict Sites Register. We checked!
