It's baffling to me that CPS & Met Police didn't think they should announce publicly that Huw Edwards had been charged when it happened on June 26. For nearly 5 weeks, the existence of a pending criminal case of this high interest was kept secret.

Former BBC newsreader Huw Edwards has pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children. In court, he admitted having 41 images - including seven of the most serious type. Julian Druker has the latest.

BREAKING- Man charged following the stabbing of an 11-year-old girl in Leicester Square. Ioan Pintaru, 32 was charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.

BREAKING- Court hears 11 year-old tourist stabbed eight times in Leicester Square yesterday will require plastic surgery, and remains in hospital. She was approached randomly. Ioan Pintaru- of no fixed abode- was remanded in custody.
