Peace out Toronto! Off to the UK for a few days in London, then a ten day hike along the Cotswold Way. Hope the weather holds up for most of it. Have a bit of FOMO for what I’ll miss, but glad I should be back for the Commons Sprint.

Hubby is taking most of the pics, but I managed a few for our first day in London. Waiting for Fawlty Towers to start to finish our day. And yes, that is our actual view from our seats. Glad we don’t have an issue with height.

Checking out canals, a short boat ride on the Thames, some Harry Potter sites and transported to San Francisco to catch up with Mrs. Doubtfire. All part of day 2 in London.

Strolls and civilizations for day 4 in London before leaving for Chipping Campden.

Note to self: ignore weather forecasts that say “no rain” until later. Have rain gear available, extras in my backpack in wet bags, and the rain cover handy at all times!! Learned on a very soggy return on our pre-hike from Chipping Campden to Hidcote Gardens and back. 💦🌧️🥾

No shows or getting soggy today as we started our ⁦Cotswold Way Association⁩ walk via Broadway to Stanton. 11miles/17.5 km down, 100 miles/157 km to go. Feet and legs are so sore!

The weather on my watch is saying “mostly clear” while it’s pouring outside. Kinda sums up our day that included sun, rain, sleet, hail, and cold temps. Did about 8.5 miles/13.6 kms from Stanton to Winchcombe. Didn’t see a bull, but walked by lots of sheep, cows and a few horses.

Yesterday ended up as an injury day, but I still did a leisurely 5km walk around Cheltenham while the others walked from Winchcombe-Dowdeswell Reservoir. Today I taped up some more and we did 11.7 miles/18.72 km to Birdslip. Up &down all those hills, but great views.

Couldn’t attend the TerryFoxFoundation run in Newmarket this year, and was too far to join the Terry Fox Run UK, so did the 5km on Coopers Hill in Gloucestershire. The hill behind me is the one they do famous cheese roll. I could barely look down it, much less consider rolling down!!

Having so FOMO seeing everyone’s travel to #DF24 posts, but the hiking continues. Today was a shorter day of 8 miles/13 km, even crossing a golf course, that brought us to the Rococo Gardens and Painswick. Five more days to go.

A gorgeous day for hiking today, hit the halfway mark, and experienced a little bit of home as part of our route from Painswick-Coaley’s Peak included the ⁦Bruce Trail Conservancy⁩ (we’re members) - ⁦Cotswold Way Association⁩ Friendship trail. 🇨🇦🥾🇬🇧 10.4miles/16.6 kms today!
