Stretching the forecasts out just a bit further...the longer-range 30-Day Temperature Outlook for September is indicating a "much-better-than-average" chance that readings will stay ABOVE NORMAL for the balance of the month...with some short-lived cool downs like Friday-Saturday

The best chance for a little rain in the Lincoln area will come Thursday-into-Friday...and the chances are NOT great...the small precipitation chances will be followed by a nice cool down Friday-Saturday...before warming temperatures quickly return heading into next week...

Over that same period...most of Nebraska is looking at a "better-than-average" chance for BELOW NORMAL moisture...a tough combination when dealing with drought conditions...but perhaps not so bad for agricultural interests approaching harvest time...stay tuned for updates...
