Grazing plans starting to become delicately balanced. Not much growth/green as shown by DataFarming . DM disappearing fast. Grazing charts suggesting will be tight, but should be OK through to next key decision points. Grain in self-feeders is picking up the slack.

B12 supplementation in sheep. Hard to find much science based information and trial data to justify in areas where not a cobalt deficient. As new product, GlanEry 7in1 B12 raising interest in B12 benefits. Link is best article I have come across. flockandherd.net.au/sheep/reader/v…

Sheep breeders: what are your thoughts on the repeatability of lambed and lost (ie. accuracy of selection), in maidens and older ewes? Helps weight up gains with culling against costs of carrying in a season where feed will be valuable. Interest in thoughts of others.

Decision making with livestock: Getting dryer and considering merits of feeding and agistment. Interesting to consider net value of wool growth in a Merino enterprise on a weekly basis cf. feeding and/or agistment costs.

If your know, your know. Not often have a situation like this in lead up to start of lambing (2 May). Pasture growing nicely and very low worm burdens (WEC's below 50 since December 2023). Thanks to DataFarming for NDVI imagery.
