NEW research by fab Jakob Tarp in bjsm.bmj.com/content/bjspor…. Physical activity were associated with lower risk of mortality irrespective of weight status. Compared with obesity, there were no survival benefits of having a normal weight if physical activity levels were low.
Delighted to see our paper published in IJE. Not delighted about the results: Children and adolescents are spending more time sedentary. Great collaboration with Jakob Tarp, Jostein SJ, Ulf Ekelund ++ and between Norges idrettshøgskole & Folkehelseinstituttet bit.ly/3J2jQV1

Great news! Our latest paper has been published in International J Obesity 📰 Is it better to be #overweight or maintain a normal weight at older ages? Is #obesity that much of a problem? Is it fat or lean mass that matters? A thread 👇🧵 nature.com/articles/s4136…
What is the impact of body fat and obesity on mortality when ageing? Check out this 🧵 by Adriano Sanchez-Lastra
Fascinating work and a conversation worth having. Always lovely to work with you Adriano Sanchez-Lastra. It is great to see your hard work finally paying off. 👏👏👏
Harmonized NCDNOR data from 808,732 Norwegians reveals unique NCD risk clusters & trajectories. Great collaboration between Folkehelseinstituttet, Kreftregisteret (Trude Eid Robsahm), Helseundersøkelsen i Trøndelag (Erik R. Sund), UiT Norges arktiske universitet (Laila Hopstock). rdcu.be/dk1al Norges forskningsråd
