The Forest Department of South 24 Parganas and Kolkata Society For Cultural Heritage (KSCH) have collaborated to launch "Parijayi," an all-women-run cafeteria in Jharkhali Wildlife Sanctuary, Sundarbans. Inaugurated virtually on March 12th, 2024, by Hon’ble CM Govt of West Bengal

An abiding memory was meeting these women of Sunderbans and hearing of their bad days - days their houses wash away, land is flooded and animals fall sick or die. Cannot get their words out my mind today, thankful to organisations like KSCH INDIA helping at the coal face 🙏🏻
