It was a pleasure to visit Trinity College this summer to deliver a session on sovereign debt for the UGA at Oxford Programme. My sincere thanks to both the UGA and the University of Oxford for hosting me, with special appreciation to Tim Samples for the fantastic invitation!

We urgently need to reform this short-termist fiscal framework so that our public finances can be truly sustainable. There are lots of suggestions out there from the likes of Institute for Government , National Institute of Economic and Social Research , CETEx (Centre for Economic Transition Expertise) , IPPR , NEF Hopefully govt looks seriously at these.
