Had Kohli, Rohit or Gill batted in first session more carefully, this could have been their day. I know there will be such days. But it’s sad for me as a fan who waited for months to watch these men bat in whites for India.

How beautifully both of them have batted. Jadeja has batted exceptionally well along with Ashwin who’s a master in such situations.

Akashdeep is showing results for the faith shown in him. His grind in the domestic seasons has been incredible. Ever since he bowled those middle overs for RCB in UAE, I believed he had something to contribute with the red ball just like Siraj. So happy for him.

There’s a reason why Gill is rated to highly. While I agree with the argument about his consistency, there’s no debate in the fact that he’s one of the best India has produced in the last 4-5 years.

The pitch has settled now. Not much spin or swing. KL Rahul’s approach in the first innings would have been perfect here. Litton and Shakib threw their wickets going for unnecessary shots on a good batting surface.

The only positive I can take from Virat Kohli’s innings was that he looked in great touch. As classy as ever. Solid defence and corrected his mistake from the first innings.

Remember when the same Richard Kettleborough denied a wife which helped Kohli get to his 100 against the same Bangladesh. Karma has done its part today. Let’s move on now.

Don’t you dare put selfish and Kohli in the same sentence. In a match where India had a lead of 300+ in a test match against Bangladesh in Chennai, Kohli chose to keep all the 3 reviews intact when he wasn’t sure if there was an inside edge. Let that sink in.
