Very grateful to MearsLab for this fantastic summary of our work identifying a new mitochondrial cristae shaping protein in Current Biology. Be sure to give it a read and check out our paper if you missed it! cell.com/current-biolog…

!!!!!!!!!!! nice work - minor pop of mitos dubbed METEORS enriched in Myo19 in filos; corrl'n btwn METEORS and filo L - loss of these filos impairs motility Compositionally unique mitochondria in filopodia support cellular migration biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

I'm so excited to present my PhD work in this pre-print! We've discovered a novel population of mitochondria which are enriched for MICOS and MYO19 and traffic to the extreme periphery of cells.

🚨 New paper alert from @martenssascha!🚨 We explore how transmembrane cargo receptors initiate selective autophagy. Through biochemical reconstitutions, we discover a new autophagosome biogenesis pathway with implications for therapeutic interventions. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Super excited to share our latest work on the native in-cell organization of the mitochondrial respiratory chain 🥳 Using cryo-electron tomography🔬, we show how the respiratory complexes (and other complexes) are organized inside native mitochondria!  biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
