Yesterday, I formally resigned as Councillor for Shirley, following my election as MP for Southampton Test. A by-election will now take place and Victoria Ugwoeme, the The Labour Party candidate, has my full support. It’s been an honour but I now need to focus on my new role.

In big news for our small but mighty city, University of Southampton becomes the first UK uni to be granted a licence to create a campus in India. 🇬🇧🇮🇳 We’re an innovative city, punching above our weight! 🥊 Huge thanks to UoS for continuing to put us on the map, and to all involved! 👏🏾
