Let’s set the record straight.

The notion that deliveristas are making $20/hr is not accurate.

They are only getting paid from the moment they pick up your food to the moment they drop it off. It’s why tips are so crucial.

I made this distinction clear on FOX 5 NY:

Squatters wouldn't exist in a society where housing was a human right.

You're not mad at squatters. You're mad at capitalism.

You're mad a market-based approach that builds $5k apartments that sit empty while others are homeless.

We’ve entered the presentation stage of the semester and my civil rights litigation students are killing it! I hear echoes of the work we’ve read all semester, including our last piece, by Leah Goodridge uclalawreview.org/professionalis…

I remember as a medical student being encouraged to perform pelvic exams on anesthetized patients. It felt wrong and I wish I had spoken up.

Good to see HHS guidance now requiring consent for pelvic, breast, and other sensitive examinations.

I’ve been trying to stay away from cheese but today I relented and had some at a restaurant.

Meh, who cares if I break my little promise? 🤫

I still felt a sense of judgment tho, then I turn to my right and see this…. 🤣

Tenants:

Buyouts are taxed.

Sometimes upwards of 30%.

So you’re thinking you’re getting $400k… it’s more like $280k.

Remember that if your landlord approaches you with a buyout offer.

Also true of many climate protests and activism on the day to day in NYC.

The stereotype of the climate activist is a youth, but in real life it’s an all age crew, and sometimes more on the middle aged and senior side.
