After 3 days it's finished. Dove grey. Bit boring. I find the coving tricky because you can't masking tape it. The next big paint job is in June and my mother-in-law's flooded flat. I don't like painting but think it may be an easy way to supplement my rubbish retirement income?

Been up since 6:30 am so thought I'd might as well finish painting the kitchen. Thank god that's done. Such jobs always take longer than you think. How much would a decorator charge? I don't know but I wouldn't mind doing a few jobs a year to supplement my income. 🙂

TAX the old codgers to pay for the new cadgers.

LABOUR can do a lot of irreversible damage in 5 yrs. Look how they changed Britain the last time. Our NHS and schools are still paying for their PFI disaster.

They make the Tories look like the good guys... which they are not!

1974ish. Welsh VaIIeys. Waiting for the carnival parade and jazz bands. It was quite a big thing on our estate in the early 70s. Also the random, let loose dog. The place was full of dogs that even formed packs... there's been a real culture change for the better with that. 🙂

Huw Thomas⁩ ⁦Cardiff Council⁩ are now actually TAKING THE PISS out of us.
£5M spend, just as our council tax has gone through the roof.
All for a tiny amount of cyclists. walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-new…

The wife remembers tonight that she hadn't posted a birthday card and the local post box has one collection at 7 am. There must be a better way to take photos in the dark but I'm hopeless with the phone camera.

And they ignored her.

My CORNISH town, for gods sake, is overrun, in less than 3 years.

The local Facebook pages used to be about lost cats and found wallets. It's now constant requests for CCTV because strange men are walking in to peoples homes or robbing their cars.…

Labour’s new tax advisor. The public school, Oxford-educated son of a Vice-Admiral telling us that his generation had it ridiculously good. He's totally clueless as to what life was like for us working-class when he had it ridiculously good back then. Imagine Labour in govt.

LABOUR: COMING SOON!

TAX! TAX! AND MORE TAX!

Rachel Reeves’s new tax adviser:

- increases to income tax, NI, VAT and corporation tax

It's going to be cold for someone, somewhere in Scotland but at least they'll take comfort in the fact they are saving the planet. Little Scotland saving the planet as China builds a coal-powered station each week. What a nasty joke!

Question:
Why did the Welsh govt spend £2.4 million on such puerile adverts 👇 in 2022 when Wales has a problem attracting visitors, especially international visitors and is marketed poorly as a tourist destination?

This is our local campsite... it's been this way for about 3 weeks now. Yes... the water is where the tents are normally pitched. Hope things improve this summer. Tourist numbers were down in both 2022 and 2023, more than any other region in the UK.
