It's been 3 years since I finished my very first aerial landscape embroidery! 🥳 I thought I'd post it along with my latest one - practice makes improvement!

Merci brusicor02. I have a purple hydrangea, and wondered whether I could make it blue by feeding it aluminium, or red by denying it aluminium. In 6 days I got an indigo mop and a dying purple mop. Additional comment in the ALT text. x.com/brusicor02/sta…

A spireless Glasgow University tower looks down from Gilmorehill. The spire, arguably the building's most recognisable feature, wasn't added until 1887-91 by which time original architect George Gilbert Scott had died. It was left to his son John Oldrid Scott to finish the job.

I received my first MDPI reviewer request. I had to reject it but they ask 1 week? I am used to 2 weeks which is general fine but 1 week? Also I read some horror story of people who reviewed for MDPI journals. Any thoughts on it?

This is what made science Twitter magic. So many different academicians from disparate fields interacting and sharing in the same space. At its peak, science Twitter was phenomenal. Then Musk came along… and I’ll never forgive him for the damage he did to our community.
