It sounds like plans to try and push those with social anxiety and incontinence issues into work have been dropped.

Howver, they're still looming to target severely vulnerable claimants and those with significant mobility issues, per The Times.

Matthew M BBC News (UK) Apparently the incontinence changes have been dropped, according to The Times. Alongside the socializing descriptor changes, as well.

But the rest sounds like it will be going ahead, including removing the 'significant risk' provision.

And surely to God thats enough

It won't always be like this. Because I can't deal with that thought.

Dan White : Disability Campaigner & Author ♿️ Channel 4 News I wish that sometimes people who weren't disabled could empathise with how difficult and demoralising this sort of relentless scapegoating and enforced poverty is. It's always those with no power who we expect to speak out - like white people never have to explain racism

Can’t help wondering if the proposed change to the WCA re incontinence is a preemptive move now the government has got sick/disabled people shitting themselves about their sickness/disability income

A proud moment for gov as it attacks most vulnerable. Again

Pretty odd that the advisors are complaining that politicians didn’t understand sCiEnCe.

The real shame seems that neither the advisors or politicians understood anything about what it is that makes life vibrant, rich and worth living (or at least, too afraid to say so).

I'm anxious about what may be announced on Weds on benefits affecting disabled people. I don't rely upon benefits for my income but there have been times in my life when I absolutely did. I can only imagine the stress felt by many whilst the media focus on inheritance tax cuts!

This really is no more than binary nonsense from Vallance & whoever else wishes to repeat it.
Unless there was a similar EOTHO initiative in the EU, it's clear that the policy wasn't the driver of infections.
Pat ain't a numbers man, he's a Chief Exec of GlaxoSmithKline FFS!🙄

Verrucamon I should rephrase. EOTHO would've created the opportunity for a tiny increased spread of the virus on top of other avenues, but it was so insignificant as to make it utterly irrelevant.
Vallance would absolutely know this.

Having disabled children is NOT like choosing an on-trend accessory. Growing narrative from councils and ministers suggests the 2014 Children's Act made it fashionable that your son or daughter qualified for support. Dangerous discriminatory nonsense. lgcplus.com/finance/roger-…
