63 days / 9 weeks / 2 months in the #LFORing rehearsal room - Team Rheingold turning out the lights this afternoon. Next stop: Longborough.

We were so proud last week to win the event category at the inaugural Slow Travel Cotswolds Awards! 🎉

The evening also launched the 3rd edition of Slow Travel The Cotswolds. Caroline's guide is a brilliant way to explore the area & it's a joy to be surrounded by such beautiful locations.

Absolutely thrilled to be joining Longborough Festival Opera as Assistant Conductor for their new production 'La Boheme' assisting wonderful Alice Farnham.
Possibly the most perfect opera ever; such music! I always think I'll be ready for the emotional rollercoaster but every single time I'm gone.

E.g: why, if his task is so urgent, does Wotan give such long answers to Mime’s irrelevant questions? If we bear in mind his objective, we realise he’s not just rambling aimlessly, but steering the conversation around to the question Mime should be asking: how to forge Nothung?

Hilarity ensues. Of course, there’s a lot more to the scene than that - but as ever, for the situation to play out clearly, the performers need to stay constantly aware of their character’s objectives, and not lose sight of the wood for the trees.
