Emphasisng his commitment to the welfare of Ladakhi people, the HLG highlighted the importance of role of sports in fostering mental and physical well-being. He encouraged the youth of Ladakh to engage in sport activities and participate in tournaments.

The HLG and other dignitaries felicitated the winning and runners-up teams. The HLG handed over the cheque of Rs 2.50 lakhs and the special Climate Cup made using Ladakhi woodcarving technique to Gokulam Kerala FC while the J&K Bank FC won Rs 1.50 lakhs as the runners-up team.

The HLG informed Shri Nurboo that a committee would be constituted to delineate the boundaries of the new districts and stated that decision would be made after consultation with all the stakeholders and the public.

Executive Councilor, LAHDC Leh, Shri Tashi Namgyal Yakzi called on Hon'ble Lt Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra and expressed his gratitude to the HLG for the recent announcement of creation of 05 new districts in Ladakh and especially for the Changthang region as a separate district.

Union Home Secretary, Shri Govind Mohan, IAS called on the Hon’ble Lt Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra at the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat. Discussed various developmental projects/flagship schemes pertaining to UT Ladakh.
