We had a fun swap day. Students dressed like teachers and teachers dressed like students.

Come out to the Magnet Fair at Garner Magnet High School from 9am -12pm. Can’t wait to meet our future Little Blues! 💙💛💙💛

🥁Drumroll please 🥁 The 2023-2024 Ligon Teacher of the Year is…….. Madeline Niang!!! We are so excited to have her represent Ligon in the WCPSS Teacher of the Year contest!! Huge congratulations to our finalists, Ms. McQuain and Ms. Todd. They are both rockstar teachers.

Chemistry elective students put their Halloween candy to good use and constructed candy atoms. Awesome lesson Ms. Parker!!

German students were surprised by a classmate who brought in tasty treats for an impromptu Thanksgiving celebration. They celebrated community and friendship.

Business students researched the historical and marketing significance of the nearly 100-year-old Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. Students wrapped the lesson up by creating their own parade balloon for their favorite business.

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS to Ms. Kaczmarek! 🎉 She is a Diane Kent Parker First Year Teacher of the Year Finalist!! We are so incredibly proud of her, and so grateful that she is part of the Ligon Legacy. Ms. “Kacz” has brought creativity, light, and joy to the Theatre program @ Ligon.

We want to thank Dr. Taylor for taking the opportunity to visit our Ligon Community yesterday! It was wonderful having him jump into classrooms and engage with our Little Blues! His love for learning clearly shined through and we can’t wait to have him back on campus!
