haha I love that Google still has this "where Search Labs is available" (which is apparently the same list of where AI Overviews are available)... and this "Europe, Middle East & Africa" tab literally lists no countries in Europe or the Middle East.

This is the world we now live in when Reddit ranks #1 for so many branded queries. This can create such an awful look for brands, and I'm not sure they always deserve the level of animosity one encounters on Reddit. But now Google showcases that above everything else.

Not sure I've seen this before - AIO recommending a product as part of an answer, and linking directly to an affiliate product/link on an editorial site.

Reddit has now surged 300 SISTRIX visibility points since the August 2024 core update started. For context, for the HCU sites seeing increases, those increases are usually from .5 to 2 points.

AI Overview sourcing is so weird. Look how many of the results below (for a search done in the U.S.) still come from non-U.S. sites. And a couple of them are from ecommerce sites that don't ship to the U.S.

From ranking #1 for "liver pain" last month to destroyed by a core update. The crazy part is that this site ever made it to the #1 position in the first place.

Working on an upcoming presentation and used ChatGPT to generate a description of the sites that have seen the greatest percentage visibility decline in the past year, and the type of website they are (via SISTRIX) I think the story is pretty clear. (FYI these are not HCU
