Peace Arch Hospital celebrated its 75th Anniversary with the help of the #PeaceArchHospitalFoundation. Like many 75 year-olds, this long serving hospital needs additional help which is still years away. PAH remains a cornerstone of South Surrey & White Rock. Fraser Health

Regional Animal Protection & Surrey Police Service partnered together to provide free veterinary care at Options Ted Kuhn Tower on Sunday. I visited without my assistants, Ron & Riley, who are already getting their own vet care. They would have made many new friends. RAPS

The #SalmonSessions Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club is a lot of fun, music, food & importantly raises funds for the hatchery that helps keep the salmon running in Little Campbell River. A new hatchery is needed so its tremendous public support was worthy. @DianaBarkley

The cultural diversity of #OurSurrey is amazing. The Fall Onam Festival Celebrations of the Kerala Cultural Association of British Columbia of the Malayali Community - a tremendous display of dance, music & foods attended by the Indian Consul General to Vancouver, David Eby

It was an amazing evening of song, dance & #Balagtasan, a Filipino form of debate done in verse. By the end of the evening the entire audience was dancing to the music! There was so much exuberance & participation! It was infectious!

@NaijaFest2024 is a welcoming embrace from our Nigerian community with friendly people & a variety of delicious foods, some spicy, all delicious. It is a fun event to get familiar with our Nigerian neighbours & meet some old friends. @MikeIwarima Bear Creek Park

There was lots of action at the Langley Rodeo 2024 #ValleyWestStampede on a beautiful sunny day. The horses were running & bucking, the riders holding on & the crowd cheering. What better way to celebrate a Labour Day weekend.

We had a delicious lunch at Jollibee, the fast growing Filipino fast food restaurant with #OurSurrey’s expert on things Filipino, @NarimadelaCruz who has been spending a busy summer traveling & getting her daughter settled at school in Toronto.

What’s better than BBQ Ribs on one of our last summer weekends. The Halal Ribfest delivered up beef halal BBQ & many other foods as well as crafts & music. Did I mention the ribs? There were line ups to get at them & bite in. Only in #OurSurrey!

@HappynessWellness Community Society celebrated on the beach with some great pot luck food & enthusiastic dancing. Movement creates wellness & happiness leaving everybody with positive feelings & more vitality! We danced! Everyone was smiling!
