I agree so much about learning disabilities (LD) nurses being in A&Es, acute medical units, primary care, etc. I also think LD nurses should be in mental health hubs and crisis teams, too. I've always been in community LD teams, but people with LD use mainstream services too.

I love Duolingo. I tried mindfulness based apps for ages & different ones, & they just didn't work for me. I did Duolingo for fun & to learn a bit of German & Greek, but I found it helped me relax & stay in the moment. It doesn't advertise itself that way, but it helps!

My mom has Alzheimer's, but she was an award-winning teacher for 30yrs. Lately, she wakes up and gathers things to go to work. Her AM nurse started giving her printing emails to edit. "Grading papers" is her new joy. I thank God for her and her caregivers. Joy is always possible.
