2 years self harm free... Never thought I'd be able to say that 2 years ago! Knowing about bipolar and autism has literally saved my life, and now I am so much better at managing them both. I now know neither diagnosis makes me weak. Here's to many more years 💪

Me and my autistic brain survived a 2 day big conference this week and here's how: -Earplugs/Fidgets -Lots of breaks outside/ in the quiet room -Topics I love The biggest thing: -I went with the best people who asked what overwhelms me and how to help, and followed through.

Receiving a diagnosis that explains your difficulties, even if it’s scary, is often better than not having one at all. I cried a lot when I got my bipolar diagnosis and I was scared and sad, but having an answer finally meant I had a chance at a better life with the right support

Having bipolar means having to strip it all back to the basics sometimes. Early intervention from the crisis team, taking a step back from commitments, sleep and getting out into nature are on the cards for the next week. One (very tired and heavy) step at a time 💪

Get yourself a friend who takes you climbing, comes to stay, eat brownies and laugh at videos with you while your brain is fragile. So lucky for the people I have in my life One week of being under the crisis team, finally having a meds review tomorrow One step at a time 💪

See you later crisis team 👋 3 week crisis intervention, psychology input and meds increase and I'm getting back up to my baseline again 🎉 This has been the "best" low episode I've had so far (i.e.less risky), so I'm so hopeful this is a result of getting the meds right 🎉

Less than 8 weeks ago, my friend Charlotte had her amputation, after weeks of multiple surgeries trying to save her leg. Today, I got to watch her walk again. The past few months have been rubbish for her, but this is pretty special 💜

If you take Quetiapine, it's important to know that there's currently a national shortage, expected to last until the end of August. It's worth checking your pharmacy for availability & calling others too. You may have to take your dose in multiple 25mg tablets. Please share 🌻

Getting back into my grove 🧗‍♀️ I've been slowly upping my bouldering skills this year, and I cannot tell you how good it is for my brain. Competition with myself, problem solving, and having a good laugh even when I fall off 😂

Very thankful we decided to stay for 10 days rather than 7, so instead of being stuck at the airport for the day with an international IT disaster... I was chilling with (another) ice cream by the sea 🍦🌊

Currently painting in the garden, the sun is shining and my puppy is asleep on my foot. Life is good

Celebrating passing my final assignment of my PGCert 🎉 My submission for my final assignment was delayed due to being unwell in May so it's SO nice to finally find out I've passed the year. 2 more years left to hopefully get my masters 🤞
