Since the last few pages of the Satsuma! PDF just contain update/editorial notes and such, they technically don’t *need* to be translated, but I’ll be translating them anyway! It’s only fair that I keep the original formatting of the document, y’know? 😙

After relentlessly seeing that 6 frame run cycle from Elusive Samurai on my feed, I watched the first episode, and wow, now I really wanna try to draw a walk/run cycle as pretty as that!

I’ve noticed that translating Satsuma (and also studying the contents) has made me acutely aware of camera techniques used in an anime while I’m watching it! For example, I’ll see a walk cycle, and realize, “oh that’s a Jump Tap”, or, “that’s a Layer T.U”, etc. I’m learning! 😌

I wonder what the Japanese equivalent of ‘TGIF (thank god it’s Friday!) is… 🤔 Maybe something like 「やっと金曜だ！」 or something? Hmm..

Animating on a simple software like Flipnote Studio 3d is so freeing compared to the intricacies that softwares like Clip Studio are full of! It makes me wonder if I just haven’t yet found that perfect workflow for me in CSP… 🤔

I think this fan Berserk project has gotten into legal trouble due to their Patreon which was made to collect money from fans. Fan animations and art are usually fine until money gets involved, because that then infringes on the company’s Intellectual Property.
