1.8.24- We are inviting members of our community to join us in marking the RNLI’s 200th Anniversary from 6pm. At 18:24 TONIGHT, all the volunteer lifeboat crew, shore crew and volunteers from The Lizard Lifeboat will gather at the lifeboat station for a ‘One Moment, One Crew’ photo.

1.8.24, The Lizard Lifeboat participated in a special photo moment 'One Moment for One Crew' to create a record of those involved with the RNLI founded in 1824. Staff from around the UK and Ireland took a photo of themselves, their crew and/or their team at (as close to) 18:24 on 1.8.24

Thank you to The Lizard Community group for inviting us to attend their annual Fun Day in the recreational field yesterday - Sunday 11th August. With lots of RNLI goodies on offer, David & Sue greeted many visitors to their RNLI Roadshow throughout the afternoon. 🧡

5.8.24 - Our crew pagers sounded at 1.54am following a launch request from Falmouth Coastguard. Under the command of Relief Coxswain Andy Dodd, RNLB Rose launched on service at 2.15am and proceeded to a position of 3 NM east of Lizard Point. facebook.com/photo?fbid=907…

8.8.24 - Following a DSC alert (digital selective calling) received by Falmouth Coastguard, an immediate request to launch on service was received by our crew at 3.56pm. A Mayday message had been sent from a singlehanded yachtsman. facebook.com/LizardLifeboat

Operational commitments permitting, RNLB Rose is due to launch on Sun 25th Aug at 1.50pm to attend Cadgwith Regatta. Visitors are most welcome to watch the launch and to browse our Visitor Centre & Gift Shop. A reminder that there is no visitor parking at the lifeboat station.

Pagers sounded at 9.44am Sun 1st Sept The Lizard Lifeboat launched to go to a position of 1 NM S Lizard Pt to assist a 52ft yacht. Upon arrival on scene the Y-boat was deployed with 2 crew who confirmed the obstruction around the prop was clear The Lizard Lifeboat ready for service by 11.20am
