Just TWO weeks to go until the third ever Paramedic Games! We’re so excited and can’t wait for you to see how we’re using high fidelity simulation for our student paramedics. Keep your eyes peeled!

Scenario recap: Fall from height (traumatic cardiac arrest) A vicar has slipped whilst changing a lightbulb and ended and sustained a plethora of traumatic injuries. To throw a spanner in the works, you have to deal with a fainting bystander as well!

Scenario Recap: Mental Health Crisis Could you talk someone down from a window ledge, without seeing them? Open the door and they jump! Our most emotive scenario from last year! Non technical skills only!

Scenario Recap: Sepsis in the park Students were tasked with treating a male of NFA, presenting with some infection markers. Following clinical guidelines, pathways and more!

Jen Vasey of LJMU Paramedic Games explained that the paramedic students led the teams on the challenging scenarios. Teams that had experienced SAR/MRT, fire officers, and police on them. Well done to all of the students, that can't have been easy They should be proud #winterstorm2024

Thoroughly enjoyed being a small part of another highly successful LJMU Paramedic Games it was great to have students from across the NW and Wales competing! So much valuable learning for everyone (me included!) Well done to all involved! I look forward to next year! 👏🏻

A picture worth a thousand words. a simulated 4 year old child drowning and subsequent cardiac arrest. One hand on the back of the patient's mother, who was welcome into the scene if she wished to be close. The team treating the patient, whilst offering comfort, so naturally.

Since uni, I've realised how good the quality of education LJMU Paramedic actually is, in terms of placements and theory. To see LJMU Paramedic Society enhancing it further is incredible and possibly UK leading; developing genuinely confident, capable and compassionate clinicians 👏

UG paramedics working together in flash teams so effectively, demonstrating mutual respect and lots of support for each other. Here is Team 8 treating a patient who had sustained a head injury and has a seizure. Good job by all involved! Well done Team!
