Another bad day for Pierre Poilievre. First Sudbury, now Niagara-On-The-Lake. "Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre delivered a plethora of lies during his visit to NOTL, forcing The Lake Report to respond with the longest editorial it has ever published." niagaranow.com/opinion.phtml/…

Canada needs more homes. That’s why we are going to help build 4 million more of them. Housing starts went up 16% in July. This is good news and a step towards putting homeownership back in reach for younger generations.

Some more good news everyone, Canada's inflation rate has fallen to 2.5%! This marks 7 straight months where inflation has been within the Bank of Canada's target range. The bank has now lowered interest rates twice, making Canada the first G7 country to do so.

I’ve been going to Freddy’s for over 30 years. Great place to catch up on things Guelph chatting with two other small business owners. That’s what I like to see. Local #SmallBiz supporting each other. And a young Guelphite getting his back-to-school cut. Me too!

There are so many great #SmallBiz in Guelph. A hidden gem is Starberry’s on Woodlawn across from auto mall. Bongi’s home made gelato is definitely worth the trip, and he remembers our kids and grandkids names every time. Great to trade grandkids’ stories with him. #FamilyFirst

Watch senior Global Affairs Canada official, Stéphane Cousineau, set the record straight. The new Consular General Residence will save Canadians $3.9 million up front and over $100,000/per year in lower maintenance fees. Seems like common sense to me. youtu.be/XkKYT8uOz5U

The Bank of Canada has cut interest rates to 4.25%. Canada was the first G7 country to cut interest rates and the first to do so a third time. There's a lot more work to do to make life more affordable for Canadians, but this is a sign that we're moving in the right direction.

It’s great riding Guelph Transit seeing the message “City of Guelph receives $2m for three climate change related infrastructure projects “. And I’m on one of our new electric buses. Good news all around! (And excellent service.)
