What is so striking is how many conservative mps are still talking about what is “ best for the party”. It’s a real give away - that party still seemingly comes before country and constituents and democracy.

Very hard to believe the re-instatement of Boris Johnson would help the Conservatives. They need to shed their addiction to populist rogues and ideologues, hang on and strive to, bit by bit, recover some sort of reputation for honesty and competence by time of next GE.
