The 2023 AGU (American Geophysical Union) registration fee is $725 (+ abstract submission fees). I appreciate the efforts to make it free for many important groups, but the cost is prohibitive for so many! A 21% increase since last year with shorter talks?

Oh my! Someone made a Wikipedia page for me and there are so many errors - wow! Tomorrow I’ll try to start fixing these errors (e.g. the spelling of my name…I am a Prof at BU, not Harvard…I graduated with a PhD in 2007). Careful what people put out there about you.
