A High Court Judgment has been handed down which may be of huge importance to disabled doctors who did not CCT at the end of their GP specialty training solely due to repeated exam failure. The Court has found the RCGP's policy on re-sitting the AKT to be irrational & quashed it.

ST3 GP trainees taking part in the poll told the RCGP that they feel ‘completely broken and demoralised’ due to the current job market buff.ly/3T9sXuS

Translation; “We don’t like being publicly shamed online for failing to publish the raw data from our MAPs consultation, and so felt obliged to regurgitate the same corporate communications waffle we’ve been saying for months in the hope you all forget about asking for the data”

It is really important doctors and the public band together to support Anaesthetists United in taking the fight to the GMC and protecting the safety of patients. The GMC is not fit for purpose. Please donate if you have a little spare!

Time to rebrand GLP-1 agonists as disease modifying agents in type 2 diabetes. We use them far too late (in the UK because of cost-effective NG28). If we get in early with them, I think we’d be inducing metabolic recovery in most people with type 2 diabetes and saying goodbye

What a kick in the teeth to these local GPs who tried their best to keep the practice going, had to throw in the towel only to see their local commissioners hand the contract over with a huge uplift of funding. Wonder if Wes Streeting MP is aware… pulsetoday.co.uk/news/practice-…

No national standards for supervision of Physician Associates, their scope of practice, or patient consent. No wonder it has been called the PA Scandal. In this short video, Helen Salisbury and Richard Marks explain why.

There is no such thing as a simple case in general practice. It’s only after diagnosis that you can say “That was a simple case “

GPs and practice teams have never been more unified by our desire to protect our patients, practices, and safeguard our collective future. Taking action won’t breach the GP contract but will show local health systems & NHS England our strength of feeling. The time to act is now.

Absolutely disgraceful treatment of GPs from a government that supposedly recognises the importance of community care in improving health outcomes in the UK.
