Losing 5lb has had unbelievable effects on my life. Before, girls never looked at me. Now, they chase me with their strange long girl legs, run after me with long wood spoons to collect my sweat, pursue me with their long noses. Itโ€™s horrifying. I am gaining back the weight ASAP

Iโ€™ve always felt uneasy with many โ€˜historyโ€™ accounts and Carl Benjamin talk last week has helped me to understand why They see history as a list of facts to roll out and nothing more We know and experience it as metaphor, as a tale of our origin and spirit baked in stone

There's one exception to my Northern European rule, and that is probably Christmas markets. The atmosphere is far more lively and cheerful. If you insist on solo travel in NE in winter, pick December.

The region in Eurasia I recommend for Dec - Feb is the Mediterranean. Not everywhere is open, and there is some flooding, but it's so nice to not queue for hours and to save a bit, too. A beautiful part of the world.

The Alpine Elf๐Ÿ”๏ธ I can see how it could feel that way in winter. If you are visiting northern Europe during water, particularly if you're from a much sunnier place, it may be worth taking a portable SAD lamp and Vitamin D supplements with you.
