The region in Eurasia I recommend for Dec - Feb is the Mediterranean. Not everywhere is open, and there is some flooding, but it's so nice to not queue for hours and to save a bit, too. A beautiful part of the world.

The Alpine Elf🏔️ I can see how it could feel that way in winter. If you are visiting northern Europe during water, particularly if you're from a much sunnier place, it may be worth taking a portable SAD lamp and Vitamin D supplements with you.
