Stopped by for a few min to drop off a bunch of fuel snacks & masks, least I could do. Don't think I had 1/100th of pro-Palestine student activists' acuity & bravery when I was in undergrad, not sure I have 1/10th even now. This line from britchida comes to mind a lot lately:

For someone to be punished for an arrest for which charges were dropped goes against the most basic tenets of our legal system. Hope ACLU, National Lawyers Guild, and Palestine Legal are all over this.

Day 2 of the GW/DMV solidarity encampment. Police have barricaded the university yard. There’s no entry but we need more folks to come out and show their support.

I just returned from the encampment at GWU, organized by hundreds of students from campuses across the DMV. Some initial thoughts: the students are more than all right. They’re teaching us another world is possible.

it's actually cross-continental now seeing as Sciences Po students in Paris just launched their encampment.

Surreal to see the images of state troopers and police on university campuses targeting peaceful, anti-war student protesters and to see calls by policymakers and administrators for the National Guard to be deployed.

The history books don't look back kindly on Kent State.
