Got to the front of the queue from 75,000 this morning, only to be in "choose your tickets" hell for the last 90 minutes trying to secure 3 standing tix. Got to checkout twice only to be booted back out. Infuriating. #Oasis

What a horrific experience this was. Seven hours I'll never get back taking part in this exploitative con job of a ticket sale. "Dynamic pricing" is the most abhorrent, cash-grab I've ever witnessed, and that's on @Oasis as much as it is on Ticketmaster.

Let's not forget that it is within the powers of big bands to keep tickets affordable, rein in resales and exorbitant fees and generally kick Ticketmaster's arse for its venal behaviour – as demonstrated by Robert Smith. Many simply choose not to. theguardian.com/music/2023/mar…

I am really sad at the loss of campaigner and all round good guy Simon Albury Simon Albury. As a Head of Creative Diversity Channel 4 and at the BBC he regularly took me to task, kept us on our toes, demanded, cajoled, persuaded. Not many people care enough to do this.
