What I simply don’t understand about the PO scandal is who in charge of that addled organisation really thought 900 sub pms all had their fingers in the till. Is that really what they thought of their own people ?Is that really what they thought of their own recruitment process

The story of this meagre £140,000 payment to the widow of the sub-postmaster who walked in front of a bus, taking his own life, just gets worse. The Post Office insisted the money was paid in stages so they could stop payments if she spoke out about the case. I mean ,really?

So a sub postmaster takes his own life as a result of this awful scandal and the Post Office offers his widow and family …. £140k … conditional on them dropping legal claims.

Well, when you realise exactly what they’ve done … it’s a wonderful and inspiring story …
