Today we made balloon rockets. It’s great when you can use one activity for so many grade levels. In this activity we calculated the speed of our balloons knowing the distance traveled and recorded time. Toni Scott R-STEM

Today our school’s garden club created a hydroponic garden and students will be growing strawberries. And I’m so excited because we also have section to create a pollinator garden with Texas native plants. This was made possible by Wertheimer Middle School librarian and LEAFGrants

Wonder of Science Good experiment. It's understandable if you focus on the slinky's center of gravity. That's the part that's falling. The slinky is stretched as a spring and has potential energy stored up to contract. That's what keeps the bottom stationary as the center of gravity falls.
