Our class Geobug moved 448 times and is now in Holland. Students will learn about international trade, so its fun for us to see what is produced in countries on Skeeter Cowboy's journey! This Geobug has gone almost 20,000 miles. Toni Scott ๐๐ฃ๐ค. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฅ
Today our schoolโs garden club created a hydroponic garden and students will be growing strawberries. And Iโm so excited because we also have section to create a pollinator garden with Texas native plants. This was made possible by Wertheimer Middle School librarian and LEAFGrants
Race to the top! Some plants are flourishing more than others. Will Taylor Tomato give fruit? Why or why not, that is the question! #Aquaponics #STEMClub LEAFGrants
Today our student garden club planted 100 strawberry plants! Now we need to figure out the watering system! Toni Scott Wertheimer Middle School
Our second class geobug has just arrived in Scotland ready to learn about the products produced and exported from this country. It has traveled over 16,500 miles and this is its first time out of the USA! Credit to map tiler. Toni Scott ๐๐ฃ๐ค. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฅ
And we now have an automatic water system! Itโs up to our sixth graders next week to make sure it keeps working! Dreaming of strawberries!โค๏ธ Toni Scott Wertheimer Middle School
We reviewed the parts of a flower and each partโs importance. We used a tickseed (seed looks like a tick) flower (Coreopsis basalis). I think we have future botanists. A bigger flower does better, but this did the job! โค๏ธToni Scott #steaminthepark ๐ ณ๐. ๐ ณ๐๐ ธ๐๐๐ ป๐ ด ๐ExpeditionsInEducation๐ฒ

Two classroom geobugs have gone almost 20,000 miles. One is east of Nantes, France and the other is north of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. We'll need to read lots of books about these spcecial places when we return from summer break! cc: Maptiler and Open Street Map Toni Scott
Wonder of Science Good experiment. It's understandable if you focus on the slinky's center of gravity. That's the part that's falling. The slinky is stretched as a spring and has potential energy stored up to contract. That's what keeps the bottom stationary as the center of gravity falls.
I love these books and activities for ELA and science! collazocove.com/books.html Check them out Ranyah Hindi
Classroom Geobug has now traveled over 20,000 miles! It is now in Tuscany, Italy! I'm amazed that it has traveled so far! Toni Scott Geocaching makes learning geography and math fun!
